WHAT WE DO

The Broken Strong Woman was founded to educate women, men, and children on domestic violence and empower them to be strong and mindful in the face of danger. We are based in Minnesota providing training and social services to people who are experiencing or dealing with domestic violence and are in need of help. If you or someone you know is being affected by domestic violence, do not wait any longer. Our service includes:

 

PREVENTION AND EDUCATION

  • Healthy Relationship: We promote healthy relationship dynamics and provide tools for recognizing and fostering respectful and equitable partnerships.

 

  • Education and Awareness: Advocate for comprehensive education on domestic violence in our communities, houses of worship, etc. to foster a culture of prevention, empathy, and support.

  • Legal Options and Rights: Provide an overview of legal avenues available to survivors, including restraining orders, custody issues, and divorce proceedings. Highlight the importance of seeking legal advice tailored to individual circumstances.

  • Financial Empowerment & Independence: Recognizing the financial challenges faced by survivors, we provide resources and information on financial assistance, budgeting, and rebuilding financial independence. We offer guidance on reclaiming financial independence, budgeting, and accessing resources such as financial assistance, job training, and educational opportunities.

  • Housing and Shelter: Inform survivors about available resources such as emergency shelters, transitional housing, and rental assistance programs, ensuring they have a safe place to rebuild their lives.

HEALING AND RECOVERY:

  • Emotional Well-being: Explore the emotional impact of domestic violence and discover coping mechanisms, self-care strategies, and resources to promote healing and resilience.
